A Beautiful Sequin and/or Bead and/or Pinning Vintage Ornament Kit! These are the most beautiful type of Christmas Ornaments you can have on your tree! Such a great feeling and look of amazement when you see these on your Christmas Tree and you know that you made it, not just bought it!
This year instead of stating the ornament kit title here I expanded the amount of pictures for you to view all the details on your own, it saves me time from typing everything in the title and item specifics to just have to type it all here again. I tend to label everything as a sequin bead ornament kit but the pictures and descriptions may show some are just bead, some just sequin, some just cloth and pinning as I have a huge variety. I also label things as ornament kits but there could be a rare one designed as a centerpiece or table top decoration. However on those my Mom almost always added string and turned them into ornaments, so to us they are all known as ornament kits! Always check out all photos, often packaging on these older kits has some wear. All the details of the kits can be seen in the photos, sometimes the kit shows as example the ornament in blue, but it may have been available in multiple colors.
As example if item specifics say "Satin Beauty (Blue)" that means it's satin beauty in the color blue obviously not every piece in the kit is blue but in this example blue would likely be the satin, cloth or beads/sequins color scheme. The pictures can be expanded to show all the details of the kit, how many it makes, the wear on the packaging, etc. The kits are photoed well in bright light so you can see all the details, they are all vintage original kits! Also one kit shows a picture with a tape measure for you to see sizing of the kit and pieces.
My kits are priced according to rarity of the kit. The higher the price the more rare the kit is. Some of these kits it can be years before you see another one get listed and then you have to wonder?
Is this the last one? I have Sulyn, Merri Mac, Herrschners, Sunrise, Leewards, Walco, Holiday Industries (Which is actually Walco and the name changed in the late 1970's but is the same as Walco) , York Crafts, Thomas Boutique, June Zimonick, The Cracker Box, Dexter's, THL Crafts, and more all listed as of the time I launch all the listings. Ages on the kits range, from late 1960's up to the very early 2000's but most are from the 70's and 80's. The only time I ever use only a padded mailer would be if it's just a bead kit with no forms in the packaging. History of the Ornament Kits. Over the last many years my mother and I in effort to make vintage Christmas Trees have accumulated a lot of ornament kits (some she has had since the days of Montgomery Wards). My mother still makes these kits to this day. However she struggles more these days with some arthritis issues. We found these at Montgomery Wards itself, other stores, thrift stores, rummage sales, estate sales and online. These kits are ALL Vintage Originals they are NOT some copied patterns like some sellers offer and will never compare to the vintage originals. Keep in mind the kits are old, while new old stock we have found that almost all, if glue is included, it's dried up long ago. Sometimes you have extra pins, fabric, sequins or beads and sometimes you are short pins, fabric, beads or sequins. Or Dylite forms may have some. Indention's or bubbles on the foam. Satin Balls may have a few frays but this does not affect the ornament at all and is very common.Sometimes if pieces are flocked there can be some loose fibers in the packages or some light fading to flocked pieces which is very common. Very rare but sometimes from fabric in a package there can be some bleeding to the other pieces but usually doesn't affect anything once completed. Also mainly in Walco kits if you see little Pixies, Angels, Mice, Deer or Santa's it's not uncommon with the vintage kits for them to have a. From what is pictured, I've already seen female deer pictured but bucks included in the bag as example Frays are east to fix with Hairspray and dents or dings on foam is easy as it's almost always covered by something. My mother said that was all common back in the 70's and it all happens today as well.
Hobby Lobby and/or Jo-Ann Fabrics has been our best friend when we run into these problems ourselves and in almost all cases we have found what's needed when we are short on something. Understanding of multi item listings. Some kits have writing on packages, which is common, some have wear, which is common, some have added newer staples as the old staples the kit came with are starting to tear or loosen up but kits are closely checked and are New Old Stock. If it's listed it's my mother approved, any thing that wasn't approved by my mother was likely already cleared out in. Advertising for other listings and future sales. Please check out all our listings for more Leewards, Walbead, KB, Merri Mac, Distasio, Walco, Holiday, Sulyn, Thomas, York, Holiday Time and more ornament kits! I also have a lot of Cross Stitch and Needlepoint kits to list so keep a close watch for those listings coming soon! As the item listed and pictured is the one that you are going to get (or one of the ones pictured if a multi item listing). The pictures are part of the description.
Please look closely, as in most cases packaging shows wear and/or fading. I always try to do my best to be clear, fair and honest. While that's rare to happen I have to mention it.
