Vtg LEIDEL SPREEN Gold Wax Angel Velvet Christmas Tree Topper 12.5 Germany Box

German Wax Angel Tree Topper. Fresh from a Dallas estate, this is a vintage Angel Christmas tree topper by Pauline Leidel-Spreen. This piece comes in original box (that has significant wear) and has a mark underneath that reads, Pauline Leidel-Spreen Handmade in Western Germany.

The design is a beautiful painted wax angel face with curled blonde hair, white feather wings, gold metal halo, gold and white brocade dress with gold taffeta trim and beads, and holding a gold metal scroll (detached). The angel measures 12 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" across and 6 deep.

Box measures 14 1/4" long by 11 1/4" across and 5 1/4 thick. This piece is in EXCELLENT vintage CONDITION!

The left hand fingers seem to be lightly melted in center, gold scroll is detached and has hot glue residue from where is was once reattached, and there is more obvious wear on wings. The box and topper have a smoke or thick musty odor. Please view photos carefully for better description details!
