Very Good to Excellent UN-restored working condition. Everything works as it should and it just looks cool and super retro, Steam Punk. To find one of these in original UN-molested condition without a bunch of broken parts is becoming quite rare these days. All glass color panels and glass lens in perfect scratch and crack free condition. Unit probably dates from the 1940's and has cloth wiring for internal electrical connections.

AC line chord is rubber with a molded plug, so it may have been replaced at some time in the 1960's. There is some flaking of the original paint finish primarily on the heat shields as I would imagine common to these units (see photos) as it contains a 500 watt projection bulb and beware it does run hot.

This light fixture was produced by the Golde Manufacturing Co. Chicago, Illinois and built for theaters auto showrooms and display work. It was not intended as a consumer item and was a commercial product. A small precision timing motor spins at 3RPM and rotates six different glass panels (comprised of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple) casting each light in turn on whichever direction the fixture is aimed. The base swivels and the angle of the light can be adjusted as well. In addition there is an adjustment lever on the back of the unit that adjusts the beam width. The colored panels in the wheel are very deep and the projected color is intense and lustrous.

This lamp will make a fantastic accent piece and add a colorful element to any room or holiday display the lamp measures 13 t x 10. 5 l x 7 w. I also measured the current draw and be advised that it draws 4 Amps, These did not have power switches, so it's plug and go.

As it was my intent to preserve the originality of the light so I have only lightly cleaned the interior and exterior including the bulb and glass lens and panels and powered it up carefully with a Variac (Variable AC power supply) so as to make sure there were no shorts or unusual problems, but if you intend to put this in regular service I would highly recommend that you have an expert in these type of classic vintage lights go over it fully to preserve your investment and safety.
