Vintage Ceramic Christmas Tree Nowell HUGE 4 Piece Stunning 21 Tall Excellent
This tree is an absolute show stopper. Mark on the bottom says 1978. And the cord is compatible with that time. Super well taken care of. Markings are NM which is Nowell Mold. Known for the pointed and rigid branches, with lots of dark grooves. Nowell Molds are also known for their large branch ends on the upper tree.
It's amazing for a tree like this to survive with no cracks, chips or repairs. There are a couple of missing bulbs, but I'm including some spares that came with the tree. I see a tiny flea bite on the bottom of the second layer. And there are some other tiny chips, but hardly noticeable. I counted about 6 or 7.
This tree has well over 50 branch ends with one or more bulb in each. Really lights up and glows with this many bulbs. Decorated with standard medium size multi-color bulbs that have small ridges like flame. Has the original star for the top. Power cord has a sliding on/off switch to make it easy to turn the tree on or off.
Base is an off white finish with a gold accent line going around the base with holly in the center front. The holly was done in a matching shade of green with dark accent lines.
I haven't seen this type of base before. The matching green seem to be more traditional. Approximate measurements: 21" tall not counting the star and 15 1/2" across from tip to tip of the widest lower branches. The base is approximately 8" across and 3" high. Mark on bottom edge of the base is Nowell Molds 1978.
The tree weighs over 8 pounds by itself. This packing is included in the price.
