GOOSE FEATHER CHRISTMAS TREE ANTIQUE VINTAGE GERMANY M GESCHUTZT USA 20s 30s 36
Here is a very rare beautiful gorgeous genuine vintage antique Christmas Tree from the 1920s 30s or possibly earlier. It is 36 inches in height and is in very good condition. Its made of real Goose Feathers that are dyed 2 shades of green. It is on a lovely painted wooden block as seen in my 12 photos. Underneath the wooden block there is clearly stamped on it- Made In Germany -I also believe it.
You can also make out U. A stamped under the block. On the ends of the branches it has red berries and also metal candle holders. The metal candle holders are pliable and can be moved in and out to grip the candles. I have shown a thin birthday cake candle in place-a thicker set of candles would look great on it to create the old look.This tree has a couple of brances that were loose-i managed to poke them back into their place because they are on a wire prong type construction. When you receive this tree please bear this in mind incase they come loose again. I found it really easy to push them back in place. It will be packed with great careful care. As you can see there maybe one or two branches missing but it displays really quite beautifully even when not decorated with baubles.
It has a lovely sweet innocence and naive charm to it from time gone by. Great for that Art Deco inspired home or for any home.
